In addition to the technical reasons for aircraft loss of control, this webinar will examine the human factors that are frequently cited as underlying causes in LOC accidents. Several recent accidents will be discussed and analyzed to learn from the mistakes of others. The webinar will last approximately one hour and is worth one Basic Knowledge 3 credit toward the FAA "WINGS" Pilot Proficiency Program. Thanks to all of you who participated in our SOUP-OFF last night. Congratulations to this years winners of Leanne Scribner, Susan Fender, and Ann Cargile. In addition to good soup and great fellowship we raised $253 that will be used at Gilbert schools to provide "Book bag meals" to feed hungry children on weekends. This was a change that all agreed to last night. Again "Thank you!"

Saturday morning was the Pilots Association clean up day for Windy Road.  We had a nice turn out and good food. Thanks to everyone that brought something and to the Fastnaught's for hosting this event.

The snow started last night around 9 PM.  By 11:45 PM is was all but over.  Managed to get almost 2 inches in all.  Air shots from my Phantom II Vision Quad Chopper.

My name is Joy Nelson. I’m the PIO for Beaufort County. In April 2014 we will be hosting two Air Day events at each of the County owned and operated airports. (Apr 5, 2014 – Lady’s Island & Apr 26, 2014 Hilton Head Island Airport) I’ve reached out to several pilots with planes as well as organizations/businesses with planes to have those on display. I have also reached out to the military for displays and several aeronautical organizations/businesses to come and set up a information table. I wanted to reach out to the SC Breakfast Club to inform the group of the event and see if there are any interested pilots who wanted to come down for the day. In the coming weeks I will design a flyer that can be inserted into a Newsletter or email to help get the word out about our events. Update on Ed Fisher lot work

Yesterday at noon Dick Hitt and I stopped by K-Mart for lunch.  We were very pleased to see our good friend Sheila, who took such good care of us at the K-Club for so many years. 

 

You recall that we sent Sheila a Whiteplains 2014 calendar, signed my most of us, for Christmas; and she wrote us the following:
