Crash Site N705CD
The plane, a Cirrus 22 took off from Columbia Airport (CAE) at 9:05 AM destination was (DCU). A short time later after reaching 8,000 feet Columbia approach was advised
by the pilot that he had to find a place to land. Columbia approach vectored him to the
nearest airport that happened to be Whiteplains Plantation (SC99). Tracking data was
lost at 9:20 AM. Unofficial reports that one person died and one person is injured.
