Greenville-Downtown Airport Park Project

 Hi all,

We just received the attached color rendering of the future park at GMU.  We thought that you might like to see it.

The runways shown are not the real ones, they will be in the park! The plan is to have a "taxiway" around the park for people to use for exercising; a natural amphitheatre for viewing the real runway action and to use for school trip lessons; a picnic pavilion; a plane fuselage that will serve as the entrance to the park; airplane wings over benches that will serve as shade structures; and of course some play equipment surrounded by lots of open green space!

We think the park will go a long way in helping to inspire people to love aviation, educate them on the role of GA in communities and towards greater community relations with the airport's neighbors.

Please feel free to share it with your family, friends and coworkers.  You can follow the park's progress at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Greenville-Downtown-Airport-Park-Project/143178025715431 and

We are throwing a big fundraising party.  See http://www.greenvilledowntownairport.com/Park.html for details.  Hope you can attend!

If you would like to help us build the park, please see attached flier.

Hope you are having a great day!
