I just wanted to fill you in on the current progress of the park project at GMU. Please see attached drawing. This is the "1st Draft" design for the Park at GMU! Thanks Parks McLeod!... The runways shown are not the real ones, they will be in the park! The plan is to have a "taxi way" around the park for people to use for exercising; a natural amphitheatre for viewing the real runway action and to use for school trip lessons; a picnic pavilion; a plane fuselage that will serve as the entrance to the park; airplane wings over benches that will serve as shade structures; and of course some play equipment surrounded by lots of open green space! The city permits to start moving dirt have been applied for. Please consider donating so we can get the park built!
