From Board of Directors - 4th of July!

Whiteplains Neighbors and Parcel Owners:

We are approaching the 4th of July and we normally have some families that enjoy shooting fireworks here at Whiteplains.

Please be safe, a good neighbor and observe the safety rules accomplishing your fireworks.

The Board of Director of Whiteplains at it's last meeting, June 22, adopted the following position concerning fireworks and we ask that you adhere to the desire of the Board to be safe and to be good neighbors by following these rules:

Please do not use the runway or any of the taxiways as launching point or pad for igniting your fireworks. Whiteplains is an active runway and shooting fireworks from these areas pose a danger to both land and air traffic. Please do not use vacant lots within the neighborhood for this purpose without the owners permission. And, please clean up any debris that the fireworks may leave behind; especially paper, tubes, wooden blocks and sticks. And, finally, please be finished with the fireworks at a reasonable hour, understanding some of us sleep often and need all the "beauty sleep" we can get.

May we all have a safe and enjoyable 4th week.

Thank you,

Terry R. Yon, President
Whiteplains Association
