New! Gone Flying Section

When pilots get together, we always love to talk about airplanes or about a destination that we discovered to fly to. With that in mind, I'm asking of all of you, the next time you go out and find that perfect $100 hamburer stop or really nice destination, to share it with us via the Whiteplains blog. If you happen to have your digital camera with you, take a couple of shots of the event and send it along with a short description of the trip or event to: duckey123@hotmail.com and I'll see that it gets posted to the blog.

To start it off, Bill Como and Don Cook took a trip to (RWI) Rocky Mount, NC after reading about the open house this past Saturday at RWI.

Hosted by Air Care Aviation Services, Inc. featuring a display of the new Cessna 350 /400 Aircraft. The new Cessna's featured the industry-leading Garmin G1000 with the new Garmin GFC700 autopilot, like the rest of the Cessna line-up. While these new avionics are the best in the industry, the enhanced ergonomics and design changes of the 2008 Cessna 350/400 model cockpits have to be seen to be appreciated. Showcasing a functional cockpit of the NEW Cessna 350/400 with the G1000 and Cessna-exclusive ReadyPad. The event ran from 10AM to 4PM, with GOOD FOOD, BEVERAGES AVAILABLE, and 50 Cent FUEL DISCOUNTS FOR FLY- INS.
By noon the place was packed with people. Guess free food really brings out the folks.
We meet some nice people, one was even considering buying the Columbia 350.
Thanks Air Care for the great food and nice display of Cessna airplanes.
