Fire Department Get Together
Our neighborhood hosted a dinner cookout for our local firefighters, who were doing a training exercise and updating our neighborhood assessment.
Willem cooked burgers and dogs for us on Jim Wheat’s 747 size grille, and our neighbors brought food to share. The 25-30 firefighters had a great time, were well fed, and enjoyed touring the hangar/homes and several stand alone hangars. Our thanks to Willem and Alice for the use of their hangar and to all of the neighbors who joined us for fine dining. Note two tanks on the grille.

Runway Lite Update 4-26-2011
Our Runway Light Improvement Subcommittee, under the direction of Project Manager Ken Plesser, completed the conversion of six more runway lights this morning.
Only one more light to go!
We even took time out to have Mike Moore, who is used to working hundreds of feet above ground, install a new windsock at the approach end of Runway 27.
