Shots around Whiteplains 9-28- 2008

Jim Causes in his newly painted RV going up for a flight.

Jame's 182 coming in for a landing. Nice approach.

With Bill as my safety pilot, I was able to shoot a few GPS
approaches over at Barnwell. Also gassed up, $4.94 gal.

Panel Shot. Garmin 430 has the WAAS upgrade.
This gives you vertical guidance even with GPS approaches.

On the way back to Whiteplains we found a shower to
wash off some of the bugs.

B-29 No Longer

Many of you have seen on You-Tube the R/C Model of the B-29 fly, built by Dan Stevens, and flown by Mac Hodges. Dan Stevens passed away from cancer a couple of weeks ago, and this past weekend the B-29 also came to an end due to a simple mistake of not putting in the 4 wing bolts. See video below of its last flight.

Above are a couple of pictures of Bob's RV-6 Panel that is now finished. He has just installed the labels for the switches.
The prop is installed, but a spacer is needed to move the spinner out away from the cowling. Only a few more items to go before the FAA inspection.
Keep tuned for more pictures as the final stages fall into place.

Voyager FreeFlight is an absolutely free, easy to use, basic flight planning system. It's based on the full Voyager system and includes many of the features of the full system but leaves out other features such as on-screen fuel prices, export to GPS devices, high performance and high altitude planning, etc. Once you have Voyager FreeFlight installed, you can add functionality by buying and turning on various modules.

Ride with the Blue Angels

In this short film "Flying Full Circle" is a 10-minute short film about living out a childhood dream. Filmmaker Brian J. Terwilliger's passion for aviation was sparked at an early age by seeing The Blue Angels perform, and that passion later became the genesis of One Six Right. It took 5 years of persistence to complete the film, which makes this invitation to fly with The Blue Angels a very special experience that came full circle.
