Folks,

I want to express my sincere thanks to everyone who assisted in the loading, mounting and wrapping of my fuselage yesterday.  It would have taken many more hours if I had to do it alone.  I am sorry if I didn't get to thank each and every one of you individually but your help was deeply appreciated.

Heidi and I will always remember the number of times this neighborhood came together to assist us and others without question.  You are the best of neighbors, best of friends.  We will miss you all.

Whiteplains Soup Off - This Saturday, February 2

We will be having the annual soup-off  fundraiser & fellowship this Saturday, February 2 @ 6:30pm. Bring your favorite recipe of soup and money for voting. There will also be a silent auction of wooden bowls donated by Jack Fastnaught. If you don’t want to make a pot of soup feel free to bring a dessert, crackers, cornbread, soft drink, etc. We will furnish bottled water and a couple of gallons of tea. Money raised will help feed children in our local schools. In case you haven’t been before this event is held in our hangar at 244 Cirrus Ln. Any questions please call me at 803-530-2434. Reminder - Traffic Pattern

Attention pilots,

I would like to remind everyone that our flight patterns are all to the south side of the airport. Also when using runway 9 please adjust your departure to the south by about 15 degrees. This is to try and avoid a neighbors house which is highlighted in the enclosed photo. She is very sensitive to aircraft flying over or near her and by diverting our departure slightly south it may defray future problems.

Also, there will be a drone flying at 308 Calks Ferry road today between 4 and 5 pm. He’s going to be there for the next few months photographing the progress in home construction. He will remain below 400 feet AGL.

It’s with a heavy heart that I pass on the sad news that Jan Causey passed away last evening 12/11/2018.  As you know she was residing at Carol Campbell Nursing Facility for the past 3 years or so.  Arrangements are pending.
